Raised in Northwestern Ohio, Dr. Olivia Hegedus grew up riding in 4-H and local shows. By following along with her local veterinarian, Dr. Hegedus discovered her passion for animal healthcare. On a fastpitch softball scholarship, Dr. Hegedus received her bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.
Dr. Hegedus worked in a small animal veterinary practice prior to acceptance into The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine program. In veterinary school, her interest in equine specific practice grew. Dr. Hegedus’s main areas of interest include soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care, as well as general herd wellness.
Dr. Hegedus enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Austin, their two dogs, Buck and Shep, and her OTTB Fig.
